Ok im bored and alittle curius so would like to see how everyones system rates up useing the vista /7 rateing tool post your screen shots



Is alittle anoying that the graphics aero  score drags it down so much espesualy as its pointless

Annoys me a bit that I've got the quad, nice graphics card, SSD at home.. But half the RAM of my work system. I actually got low memory messages the other day (running virtual machines).

Annoys me a bit that I've got the quad, nice graphics card, SSD at home.. But half the RAM of my work system. I actually got low memory messages the other day (running virtual machines).

Im not seprised with only 4gig ram espesualy on a 64bit system considering that windows alone will use up to 2gig for its self then take into acount other start up background programs so you cant have much left over for your own use.
I know when i had the 64bit ver of 7 on my 4gig system it was showing as haveing around 1.9gig of free mem however i ditched the 64bit and moved back to the 32bit as its more compatible with older games and hardware and the plus point is i acualy have more free ram when running 32bit even tho it only recognises 3.5gig it works out at 2.5 gig free and overall acualy out performs the 64bit version (tested with benchmarking program)

Yeah, paying a bit of an overhead for 64bit. Hoping to get a virtualization server setup soon here so I won't be burning up RAM to do that on my main machine. Very handy for trying out OSes, development, things like that. I've got a clone of our webserver I can boot up locally, dev system for android (haven't really used that yet..), clone of my home file server for tinkering, few desktop linuxes I'm trying out. Be real nice to get a nice 8GB headless machine running that'll serve them all up over SSH or RDP.
