And remake sounds good, I haven't got that version of the song. But I do have bucketloads of heavy stuff that would sound good with it. And I'm up for hours in-game play. Not sure if I have the original, if I do, it's on my home computer. But I think DAT made the original so I doubt we can get original files very easily.

Halo only for now, but CoD4 on main laptop. Would prefer not to have to film stuff, but anybody who know what their doing with screen-capture programs can deal with that hopefully. Halo is my particular favourite though.

Well I'm up for the making of a new song for the video. I can do guitar easy enough, but will need at least two more people for drums and bass.
I'm thinking a song in a similar style to the current one ("Labeled Uncurable" by D.R.I.) which would be thrash/crossover. Can upload a sample riff I made if needed so people can see the kind of thing I was thinking of.
My main argument for keeping the style or reusing the song is that judging by DAT's profile he was a pretty big fan of D.R.I.
And just checking back now, his avi and sigs are gone so I can't really show you what I mean, merely link an image you may recognise:

Another advantage is that it would be a fairly simple song to make (no difficult solos or singing necessary) and it should also only need to be a minute or two long.

Go for it man.. Is it too big to just attach to a post? 25M limit, I think. I'll go check right now and up it to 25M. No higher though, attachments sit in RAM while they upload, too big and the server will start swapping (bad).

I am working on the bass riff right now. The only problem being that I have to way to record it, and I am working on that exact problem as we speak, so no worries.

All you need is a 3.5mm mono or stereo jack, plug one end into your input socket on your computer (where you would put your mic works) and the other end in your amp. You can buy a jack for about 2$

I would add that it helps if you have a splitter so you can hear what you're playing on headphones while you record. Either use a proper program to record, or use the Sound Recorder in your Accessories folder, though that has limited time set.

I record with my Studio Condenser Mic haha. Running to my Mixer, running via RCA cable, to a RCA>USB Audio Interface Adapter. Then I edit in Adobe Audition.

You mean Drop C? METAL is basically Drop C

Drop D is standard tuning dropped so its not much of a difference except of course the chord formations and you can do open power chords.

Well drop C amd drop D are essentially the same just each string in drop C is a tone lower. I prefer drop D because it's quicker to retune.
And that's not my pedal speaking, it's my Roland Cube 20X so go buy one and you will have it. The pedal I have is almost as old as me and made in Japan by people with hilarious English.
